The Auburn Alumni Association has awarded its first-ever Creed Grants, providing $150,000 in funding to innovative programs across campus. The grants, made possible through the generosity of Auburn Alumni Association Life Members and donors, aim to support initiatives that embody the values of the Auburn Creed.

In its inaugural year, the Creed Grant program received 52 letters of intent from 15 colleges and units, requesting approximately $2.5 million in total. Of those, 15 full applications were submitted, collectively seeking $850,000 in funding.

Five finalists were invited to present in person to the association's Board of Directors during its summer meeting on June 6 at Horton-Hardgrave Hall. Each program had 20 minutes to pitch and answer questions from the board. The five programs requested a combined $241,000.

All five programs received funding:

  • Rural Studio “Creed House” – College of Architecture, Design and Construction: $65,000 (fully funded)
  • Semi-Autonomous Human Powered Trike – Samuel Ginn College of Engineering: $4,490 (fully funded)
  • Success in Scrubs – College of Nursing: $45,000
  • Melton Scholars Cultural Excursion Program – Office of the Provost: $20,000
  • Buildings as a Bridge – College of Liberal Arts and CADC: $20,000

The 2026 Creed Grant cycle will open for letters of intent in early fall 2025.
