Graduate Student Council and Graduate Women in Science hosting Holiday Toy Drive

The holiday season is quickly approaching, and the Graduate Student Council (GSC), together with the Graduate Women in Science (GWIS), have organized the second annual Graduate School Toy Drive in support of graduate student families. 

The two groups are looking for help providing some holiday cheer to some of the youngest members of the Auburn Family.

From now until Dec. 4, anyone in the Auburn community can donate an item from this Amazon wish list for children, ages newborn to teen. Make sure to select the Graduate School’s shipping address at checkout, and the GSC and GWIS will handle the rest.

Donations of toys not on the Amazon list will also be accepted as long as they are shipped to the Graduate School. 

Once the GSC and GWIS have collected all the donations, they will invite graduate student parents to sign up to “shop” the items at Hargis Hall in mid-December. 

Constance Davis, director of family initiatives for the GSC, said there are at least 178 graduate student parents who could benefit from this effort. Last year, the toy drive benefited 42 children from 25 families.
