After a national search, the Auburn University Office of the Ombudsperson is pleased to announce that Dona Yarbrough will be joining the office as the university’s first Associate Ombudsperson, effective Jan. 1.
Yarbrough received her doctorate in English from the University of Virginia and served for several years as the ombuds for students at Emory University. She has recently been engaged as the assistant vice president for belonging and community justice for Campus Life at Emory, where she supervised numerous departments promoting inclusivity, engagement and belonging.
Yarbrough has training and experience in dispute resolution techniques and is recognized as a registered neutral with the State of Georgia.
The Office of the Ombudsperson is a confidential, independent, impartial and informal resource that assists all university members navigate difficult situations. Every visitor to the office is treated with respect, dignity and honor.
