Beginning next week, Auburn University Libraries will launch the LibQUAL+® Lite survey. Offered by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), LibQUAL+ collects user feedback about library service quality. Libraries such as Auburn’s use the information collected to identify library service strengths and areas that need improvement. Since 2000, over 1,300 libraries have participated in the LibQUAL+® survey.
The web-based LibQUAL+® Lite survey takes approximately five minutes to complete. Survey questions focus on three main dimensions of library service: physical spaces, staff-delivered services and access to print/electronic resources. Additional questions address information literacy outcomes, library use and general satisfaction levels. A text box for open-ended feedback is also provided. Survey responses are confidential and will only be reported in aggregated form.
Please support Auburn University Libraries by sharing your thoughts on the library resources and services that are most important to you. In the next few days, you will receive an email from Shali Zhang, Dean of Libraries, inviting you to participate in the LibQUAL+® Lite survey. Her email will provide more details about LibQUAL+ and a link to the survey. If you have questions about the LibQUAL+® Lite survey, contact Juliet Rumble, Research & Instruction Librarian, at rumbljt@auburn.edu or (334) 844-0236.
