Three Auburn University Student Affairs staff members were recently recognized for their exemplary contributions by NASPA-Alabama, a professional organization for Student Affairs administrators in higher education.
Vanessa Finnegan, director of Assessment and Strategic Planning, received the Outstanding Contributions to Student Affairs through Teaching Award bestowed upon professionals responsible for teaching graduate or professional school students aspiring to pursue a career in higher education administration and student affairs.
Ken Rakestraw, student programs coordinator for Student Conduct, received the Rising Star in Student Affairs Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions by new professionals in Student Affairs who demonstrate initiative, contribute to programs addressing the needs of students and the institution and create campus environments that foster student learning and personal development.
Katelyn Stalboerger, a graduate assistant with Assessment and Strategic Planning, is the recipient of the NASPA-AL scholarship.
