Four employees have been recognized as Spirit of Excellence recipients for their contributions to Auburn University.

Mary "Kim" Johns, NCAT, Office Administration 

“When I started at NCAT Test Track two plus years ago, she welcomed me with open arms. She demonstrates integrity, trust and respect for the department,” Johns’ nominator said. “Kim is irreplaceable.”

Vanessa Jerido, Facilities Management, Service/Maintenance

“Vanessa's exceptional dedication and outstanding performance as a custodian within the Human Resources office has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to enhance service, quality and the overall image of the department,” Jerido’s nominator said. “Her attention to detail and thorough approach have significantly contributed to maintaining a conducive environment for our daily activities.

Katie Hardy, Engineering Administration, Office Administration /Professional

“Her contributions to Engineering and Auburn go above and beyond the 100%. She loves Auburn, she loves Engineering, and she shows that every day,” Hardy’s nominator said. “She makes sure that every event here is top notch … It is a team effort but the standard has been set by Katie Hardy!”

Caroline Whiting, Biosystems Engineering, Technical/Paraprofessional

“Caroline is significantly involved in the ability of our department and university to meet the three land grant missions of research, instruction and outreach/extension,” Whiting’s nominator said. “Caroline has exemplified dedication and professionalism and provided excellent and extraordinary service for all of us in biosystems engineering and beyond.
