The Office of International Programs is launching an updated international agreement approval process on Monday, April 29. Agreement proposals should be submitted using the current system until April 22. In preparation for the new process, the system will be down for maintenance from April 22-29.

The updated system, housed on Smartsheet, allows any Auburn faculty or staff member to submit an international agreement proposal, a shift from the current system which requires college/unit deans or designees to submit on behalf of faculty or staff. Once submitted, proposals will be automatically sent to the college/unit designees for review and then onto the International Agreements Committee.

The entire process, from proposal submission to fully executed agreement upload, is automated and streamlined to be more user-friendly and provide for more seamless processing. A full outline of the submission process and a detailed submitter manual will be made available on the International Agreement Approval Process website on April 29. The new website will also offer definitions of agreement types with accompanying templates and an FAQ section.

Agreements between Auburn, its employees and international university, NGO, government and corporate partners create vital opportunities for academic, research, outreach and operational engagement. All Auburn partnerships should be guided by the university and college/unit strategic plans with an outcomes-focused approach and are subject to the International Agreement Policy.
