Are you interested in studying Chinese abroad with all your major expenses paid for? The AU-NCKU Taiwan Center of Chinese Language and Culture is accepting applications for the 2024 summer, fall and summer-fall Chinese Language Learning Scholarship programs at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. The summer program will run from June 17-Aug. 23, the fall program from Sept. 9–Nov. 22 and the summer-fall program from June 17–Nov. 22.

The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate Auburn students who have completed at least some Chinese language coursework. All interested applicants must submit the application form linked below and provide the required supporting documents by April 30.
To apply, fill out this form and attach the following documents:

- Official enrollment certificate from Auburn
- A statement of purpose about why you want to study Chinese at NCKU
- Two letters of recommendation
- Other supporting documents (such as transcripts of Chinese courses taken)
Please note that applicants can choose between summer-only (3 months), fall-only (3 months) or summer-fall (6 months) programs. When applying for the 6-month program, please start with a summer application and select the 6-month option.
The Chinese Language Learning Scholarship is an outcome of the joint agreement between Auburn, the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta. The goal of the agreement is to promote joint educational and cultural collaboration, and in turn establish a long-lasting friendship and cooperative partnership that enhances the educational experience at Auburn and NCKU.
