Summer construction projects set to begin this week

Additional summer construction projects will begin this week in conjunction with the Plainsman Park Phase II improvements project and the New University Student Housing project.

A section of South Donahue Drive will close to install field light posts and connect utilities to the Plainsman Park Phase II project. The closure will take place May 7–15. Entry to the Athletic Complex and South Donahue Drive parking deck off West Samford Avenue will remain accessible. Entry to the Plainsman Park parking lot will also remain accessible.

Two impacts will take place next to the New University Student Housing project. Flaggers will be present to direct pedestrian traffic on the Haley Concourse May 13–15 while contractors install a tower crane that will be used for the construction. Also, the Quad Drive sidewalk along the south side of the construction site will be closed May 7-June 11 to rework existing sanitary, storm and domestic water lines.
