Three important updates are scheduled for Duo authentication that will be implemented on Monday, May 13, and Thursday, May 16. These changes will enhance the security and usability of our authentication systems.

Three Key Updates:

1. New Authentication Experience

A new prompt screen will replace the currently displayed Duo prompt.

2. Duo Mobile Passcodes

Duo is releasing a security update to enhance the Passcode feature on Thursday, May 16, therefore, it is critical to ensure that your Duo app is updated to the most current version. OIT encourages students to review alternative methods for completing Duo 2-factor authentication by visiting our Knowledge Base article here.

3. Securing Microsoft 365 (M365) Applications

Duo will be required for accessing Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, OneDrive, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) both on-campus and off-campus. To reduce the number of Duo authentication push requests, OIT is increasing the "remember me for 7 days" function to remember you for up to 30 days when accessing M365 applications.
