Nominations for the 2024 Faculty Awards are now open, with new awards that underscore excellence in teaching, research and leadership.

Now in its 19th year, the annual awards honor faculty members who not only embody the spirit of the Auburn Creed but also uphold and contribute to the university’s land-grant mission. All faculty members are encouraged to nominate deserving colleagues for these prestigious awards, which will be presented at the 2024 Faculty Awards Ceremony in November.

This year’s awards have been expanded to include several new categories that recognize the distinct contributions faculty members make to the campus community. These additions include the Emerging Faculty Creative Research and Scholarship Awards open to assistant professors, an expansion of the criteria for the Leischuck Endowed Presidential Awards for Teaching Excellence to include consideration of a non-tenure-track faculty member as one of the two recipients and a new award, the President’s Awards for Distinguished Faculty Leadership, which honors up to two faculty members whose leadership has significantly advanced the university.

Detailed information about all the awards, including criteria and nomination instructions, can be found on the Faculty Awards website. The deadline for nominations is Friday, Sept. 20, at 4:45 p.m. Nominators must log in using their university credentials and select the award(s) they wish to nominate for. A list of previous award recipients is also available on the awards website.
