With a focus on improving efficiency in our business practices, as well as data governance, Auburn's Business Modernization Program will bring updates to the administrative infrastructure systems and digital processes that underpin the university’s daily business practices.

In the early and defining stages of this multi-year process, you’ll start to see some of the following changes or additions: a new AU Access interface, Microsoft Teams upgrades to the university phone system and meeting capabilities, modernizing Auburn’s timekeeping system, implementing a new travel and P-Card purchase system, updates to electronic research and more.

These implementations are components of a larger effort through Auburn’s Business Modernization Program, which strives to bring our business processes forward with the technology available in the market today to be more user friendly and offer better support. These early rollouts will allow Auburn students, faculty and staff time to explore the new systems and features.

With a strong tie-in to the unfolding 2024 strategic plan of the university, the way Auburn is moving into the future with its business operations will help to provide a more exceptional student, faculty and staff experience.

As the Business Modernization steering committee meets in the following months, we’d like to hear from our university stakeholders. You can reach out directly to modernization@auburn.edu to share your insight, ask questions or pose concerns.
