Progress with the implementation of Endeavor, the Huron Research Suite Electronic Research Administration (ERA) software, continues to move forward. As of today, the conflict of interest (COI) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) modules are live and in use by faculty, staff and students. The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and grants/agreements (G&A) modules are far along in the implementation process.  IBC is anticipated to go live in Nov. 2024, with G&A scheduled to go live in mid-January 2025. The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Animal Operations (ANOPS) modules will begin onboarding in late Sept. 2024.

To improve the effectiveness of the system, we have a few reminders.  All full-time employees must log into Endeavor (aub.ie/endeavor) and complete a conflict of interest disclosure. Several employees have not completed a disclosure profile in the system. This is critical for compliance with institutional policy, engagement with the various compliance committees, and the ability to participate in sponsored program activities.  Investigators who have not completed the COI process in Endeavor will be restricted from engaging in sponsored proposal and award activity until completed. Guidance for Auburn COI requirements is located on the Office of Audit, Compliance & Privacy website (aub.ie/coi).

If you have an issue with access to Endeavor or are unable to locate a sponsor, colleague or student study-participant, or if you need assistance following the various smart form steps, please contact the ERA office at taylomm@auburn.edu. Most settings and access issues can be quickly addressed. Occasionally, a support ticket to the vendor is required. A goal of the system conversion process is for all users to have a favorable experience with the new Endeavor ERA system, and feedback is always welcome.
