Annual Promotion and Tenure Reception this Thursday

Members of the campus community are invited to attend the 2024 Promotion and Tenure Reception this Thursday, Sept. 12, from 3-5 p.m. in the Academic Classroom and Laboratory Complex (ACLC) third-floor atrium.

Hosted by the Provost’s Office, the reception recognizes those faculty members awarded promotion and/or tenure during the 2023-24 academic year. Held annually, the reception features the display of books personally selected by each honoree to commemorate their professional journey. Following the event, the books are added to the Ralph Brown Draughon Library’s permanent collection.

The event includes remarks from Trustee Elizabeth Huntley and President Christopher B. Roberts. The reception will begin at 3 p.m., with remarks starting at 4 p.m. Please visit the Promotion and Tenure website for a list of this year’s honorees. Those planning to attend are asked to kindly RSVP.
