ABM will begin serving as Auburn University's new custodial service provider on Oct. 1, 2024, following the conclusion of Sodexo’s current contract.

As an international company which specializes in facilities management, ABM will provide custodial services to Auburn’s main campus, the College of Veterinary Medicine and auxiliary facilities.

“ABM was chosen at the completion of a thorough and competitive procurement process,” said Dan Whatley, assistant vice president of Facilities Management Operations. “Facilities Management is focused on being a client-focused organization that continually evaluates the effectiveness with which we provide services to the Auburn University community. We are confident that ABM will share this focus, and we look forward to them being a value-added partner.”

Representatives from the company are currently on campus working through the transition process with Sodexo, which will continue to provide custodial services through Sept. 30, 2024.

“Our primary goal during this transition is to ensure that the handover upholds the high standards of cleanliness and service the Auburn University community expects,” Whatley said. “We aim to foster strong collaboration between ABM and our campus community to deliver an uninterrupted custodial services experience for our students, faculty and staff.”

ABM has entered into a three-year agreement with Auburn University, with the possibility of extending the contract for up to two additional years, contingent on satisfactory service delivery during the initial term.
