The 2023 Auburn University Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is now available and can be found at https://aub.ie/securityreport. Auburn University is required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the 2008 Higher Education Opportunity Act to update and make this report available to the campus community each year.
The report includes important information for the Auburn University Main Campus and its twelve separate campuses regarding institutional policies on campus safety and related issues, such as crime reporting, emergency procedures and notification, campus evacuation, missing students alcohol and drug use, weapons, sexual assault and dating violence, domestic violence and stalking and other safety and security topics. The report provides crime statistics for the previous three calendar years (2020-22), covering crimes reported to have occurred on campus, at certain off-campus ("noncampus") facilities and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
For the six campuses that have on-campus student housing, the report also contains important information about fire and life safety systems in on-campus housing and other campus buildings, policies related to fire safety and fire evacuation procedures and details about educational programming and drills. It provides fire statistics for on-campus student housing facilities for the previous three calendar years (2020-22).
