Celebrated author Eileen Garvin will visit Auburn’s campus on Oct. 22 to discuss this year’s Common Book, The Music of Bees.
Garvin will give a presentation in the Student Activities Center Auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. The event is open to the campus and local communities; all students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Following her talk, Garvin will take questions and conclude the evening with a book signing.
Sponsored by the Office of the Provost in partnership with the Auburn Public Library, Auburn University’s Common Book program is a collective educational experience that fosters campus and community-wide dialogue. Gavin’s visit culminates a series of semester-long events based around the book’s key themes of family, loyalty and finding purpose.
Attendees are asked to arrive by 6:45 p.m. Advance registration is requested for seating. To register for Garvin’s talk and read more about Auburn’s Common Book program, visit aub.ie/commonbook.
