Due to a change with Auburn University's waste contractor schedule this year, hazardous waste chemical collection times will be shortened for the remainder of 2024.

In anticipation of this year's winter holiday break, please note and communicate to your areas the following protocol:

• Hazardous Chemical Waste pickups will be temporarily suspended at 3 p.m. on Nov. 26, and will resume full service on Jan. 6, 2025. Any chemical (and/or medical) waste generated during the holiday break should be properly containerized, labeled, and stored per guidelines found on the RMS/EHS webpage.

We will try to collect as much hazardous waste as possible while our contractor is on-site; however, it will be helpful if Chematix pickup requests are submitted before the Thanksgiving holiday break.

• Medical and Chemotherapy Waste pickup service will be provided throughout the holiday period on an as-needed/as-requested basis by using the contact list below.

• Pathological Waste pickup service will be provided throughout the holiday period on an as-needed/as-requested basis. Pickup requests shall be submitted through the ReADY Work Management System.
