As we approach the winter break, the Office of Information Technology would like to share important information about IT support availability and cybersecurity reminders.
Service Desk staff will be available during the winter break on Dec. 23, 26, 27, 30 and Jan. 2 and 3, via Zoom at aub.ie/sdhelp from 9-10 a.m. and 3-4 p.m. Team members will respond to tickets submitted in ServiceNow, assist with emergencies and direct non-urgent requests to follow-up when we return to regular operations on Monday, Jan. 6, at 7:45 a.m.
For assistance outside of these hours, email itservicedesk@auburn.edu.
Reminder: Report security incidents over the break
Cybersecurity remains a top priority, even during the holidays. Security incidents can occur at any time, and timely reporting is essential to protecting Auburn’s systems and data. Review our holiday scams awareness guide to stay informed about common holiday scams and how to protect yourself.
If you encounter a security incident, please notify your departmental IT provider and contact the Information Security Group at (334) 844-0888 or abuse@auburn.edu.
Include details if the incident involves:
- Exposure, loss, or compromise of confidential data.
- Loss or compromise of portable devices or media containing sensitive data.
- Unauthorized access to sensitive data on computers or storage devices.
- Use of AU resources for fraudulent activities.
- Systems processing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
You can report other concerns or suspected violations to your supervisor or other campus entities listed here. Your quick reporting helps us keep a secure and safe environment for everyone.
