Hettinger receives Higher Education Case Manager Association Supervisory Excellence award

Katherine Hettinger, director of Auburn Cares, was honored with the 2024 Supervisory Excellence Award at the Higher Education Case Manager Association annual conference in June in St. Louis, Missouri. This award recognizes someone who has shown unwavering support of case management at their institution through dedicated efforts, including, but not limited to, the expansion of programming and the development of staff. 

Hettinger has worked at Auburn University for 13 years and has dedicated her time at Auburn to establishing and growing the Auburn Cares office. She has expanded the reach of the Auburn Cares office by not only providing and training her staff to deliver excellent case management services to students in difficult situations but also incorporating the Campus Food Pantry, medical withdrawal process and Safe Harbor victim advocacy program into Auburn Cares.
