There are several ways to get involved with the University Writing and the Miller Writing Center (MWC) this semester. In addition to making writing appointments, all Auburn students are encouraged to submit their work to the Outstanding ePortfolio Contest and to apply to work in the MWC.
The Miller Writing Center offers free, one-on-one appointments on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Undergraduate and graduate peer consultants can help you with writing assignments, speeches and presentations for any class or professional project. The MWC is currently hiring peer writing consultants for the 2025-26 year. Candidates from any academic discipline are encouraged to apply as long as their interests and career goals align with the work of the Miller Writing Center and University Writing. Applications are due March 15.
University Writing invites submissions for the Twelfth Annual Outstanding ePortfolio Award. This award recognizes exceptional ePortfolios created by Auburn University students. Winners will be honored at the University Writing Awards Ceremony in May 2025 and receive an engraved trophy and a cash prize. Complete the submission form by March 23.
