Pharmacy's Jones advances to national competition

Taylor Jones, a member of the Harrison College of Pharmacy Class of 2026, has advanced to the finals of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of student Pharmacists National Patient Counseling Competition. She will represent Auburn on March 21 in the final round in Nashville at the APhA2025 Annual Meeting & Exposition. Jones, a native of Arab, Alabama, advanced to the finals by virtue of finishing in the top 10 in the preliminary rounds.

The APhA-ASP National Patient Counseling Competition encourages student pharmacists in their efforts toward becoming better patient educators. The competition is designed to reflect changes that are occurring in practice, to promote and encourage further professional development of the student pharmacist and to reinforce the role of the pharmacist as a health care provider and educator.
