Portrait of Shanda Tuck

Shanda Tuck, strategic business officer at Auburn, has been recognized as one of Alabama’s Top Women in Tech by Business Alabama magazine.

Tuck is one of 25 women selected for this year’s list.

“These trailblazers are launching startups, managing multimillion-dollar programs, driving research breakthroughs and mentoring future innovators,” the article stated. “Their work is not only redefining what’s possible in Alabama but also setting a national standard for innovation and impact.”

Tuck supports various units within the university’s Business and Administration organization, including Human Resources, Finance and Facilities Management.

“In her role, Tuck is responsible for integrating and aligning business systems to enhance management capability and improve efficiency, effectiveness and work execution. She also collaborates with different departments and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of new systems and processes.”

Her strategic leadership and collaborative approach have not only driven operational improvements but also inspired confidence and admiration among her colleagues.

“Shanda’s inclusion on this list comes as no surprise to those of us who work with her every day,” said Kelli Shomaker, senior vice president for business and administration and chief financial officer. “Her ability to see the art of the possible and use technology to drive change towards it will make Auburn a better university.”

An Auburn alumna, Tuck is currently pursuing her MBA.
