Road Closures and Parking Lot Closures for July 29 and July 30

As part of an emergency training exercise July 29 and 30, some roads and parking lots near Neville Arena will be closed at specific times on both days.

The Auburn University Emergency Management Department, in collaboration with Auburn Public Safety and Lee County Emergency Management Agency, will be conducting a full-scale training exercise to simulate an active shooter scenario at Neville Arena and the Melton Student Center from noon-4 p.m. on July 29 and 30.

This exercise is part of our ongoing commitment to public safety, preparedness and inter-agency coordination.

Note: There is no threat to campus. This is only an exercise.

 

PARKING LOT CLOSURES: JULY 29-30, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

  • Campus Safety Parking Lot
  • Neville Arena Parking Lot
  • Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum Parking Lot

*Alternate parking will be available in the PC 4 and PC 5 lots.

All participants and volunteers for the exercise will have access to the arena parking area. Detailed parking instructions will be sent via email.

ROAD CLOSURES /// JULY 29-30, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The following roads will be closed:

  • War Eagle Way from Donahue Drive to Village View 
  • Donahue from War Eagle Way to the Athletics Parking Lot entrance 
  • Heisman Drive from Wire Road to the entrance to the Stadium Parking Deck 
  • Heisman from Donahue to the Dawson Lot entrance 
  • Biggio Drive from Heisman to the Donahue Parking Deck entrance 
  • Thach Ave from Donahue to Miller Hall

Tiger Transit will remain operable during the exercise.
