Larson appointed to national campus recreation faculty

Jenny Larson, director of health, recreation and wellness for Recreation and Wellness, has been selected to serve a second term on the 2025–26 NIRSA School Faculty.

Chosen from a competitive pool of applicants, Larson will help shape the future of campus recreation by educating and mentoring early- to mid-career professionals across the country.

NIRSA — the leading association for campus recreation professionals — traces its roots back to 1950 and now includes more than 3,100 members from over 500 institutions. As a faculty member, Larson will support high-impact, competency-based learning rooted in leadership and professional standards.

Through this appointment, Larson not only advances the field nationally but brings new insights, networks and expertise back to Auburn to support student well-being and success.
