Students walking on concourse

Auburn University’s Greek Programming Board is proud to host a series of events in recognition of National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW), taking place September 22–26. NHPW is a national initiative led by the Hazing Prevention Network that empowers campuses, organizations, and individuals to raise awareness, educate, and develop strategies for prevention. Each year, colleges and universities across the country observe this week to encourage students to challenge harmful traditions, promote dignity and respect, and work collectively to end hazing. The campaign highlights the importance of shifting campus culture by promoting accountability and the well-being of all students.

The Greek Programming Board has designed a week of programs on behalf of the Greek Life intended to educate, engage, and inspire action. The schedule includes interactive events, educational opportunities, and moments of reflection that encourage students to think critically about how hazing impacts individuals and communities. By combining awareness-raising activities with actionable resources, the week underscores the university’s dedication to fostering a culture where all students feel safe and supported.

Throughout the week, the following events will be offered to the campus community:

I'm proud of the Greek Programming Board's dedicated efforts to expand this year’s programming, with the goal of amplifying this message and deepening its reach throughout our Auburn community,” shared Haley Pegues, Greek Programs Coordinator and advisor to the Greek Programming Board.
