United Way campaign kickoff, message from Coach Thompson

Last year, Auburn University led the way as the top contributor in the United Way of Lee County campaign. As the county’s largest employer, we play a critical role in helping United Way meet its $925,000 goal to strengthen our community.

Auburn Baseball Coach Butch Thompson explains in this message to the Auburn Family why he gives.

Your pledge supports the United Way of Lee County, which funds 25 local agencies and programs focused on the most pressing needs of our neighbors, from food security and health care to education and family support. With 95% of every dollar raised staying right here in Lee County, you can be assured your gift will make a direct, local impact.

Our goal is to raise $140,000 to ensure these vital programs continue improving lives in Lee County.
