Submit your writing to the Outstanding Sustainability Essay Contest

University Writing and the Academic Sustainability Program are seeking submissions for the Outstanding Sustainability Essay Award.

This award recognizes exceptional student writing in prose with a focus on sustainability. The essay prompt incorporates themes in Auburn’s Common Book, "Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow" by Gabrielle Zevin, but reading it is not a requirement to participate in the contest.

As you reflect, use the Sustainability Compass to orient your writing toward the interrelations of nature, society, economy and wellbeing.

Read the full call for submissions and submit your essay by Oct. 19. Winners will receive a cash prize and a trophy.
