The Daniel F. Breeden Endowed Grant Program on a blue background

Awarded by the University Senate Teaching Effectiveness Committee, Daniel F. Breeden Grants encourage the enhancement of learning and teaching on Auburn University’s campus.

With $30,000 in available funding each academic year, proposals are thoughtfully selected through a panel review. Tenured and tenure-track faculty from any discipline or faculty with lecturer or clinician titles with appointments continuing into the upcoming academic year are eligible, along with contingent faculty applying as part of a collaboration. Preference is given to pre-tenured and early career faculty, and collaboration is deeply encouraged.

Erik Hofmeister, professor of veterinary anesthesia and chair of the Teaching Effectiveness Committee, has the honor of leading the review of submitted proposals, helping pave the way for educational improvement.

“We received the largest number of submissions this year we ever have, and they all had remarkable merit …We believe these grants will enhance the educational experience of students at Auburn University, creating a more immersive, supportive and engaging environment for learning,” he said.
