Do you need help making your documents and presentations accessible?

When the Department of Justice updated Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act to include digital content, the new rule cited specific requirements about how to ensure that web content and mobile applications are accessible to people with disabilities.

Auburn University is committed to ensuring that all digital content — including instructional materials, Canvas pages, university websites, mobile apps and internal documents — meet these standards.

All faculty and staff are invited to a drop-in workshop on Oct. 24, from 2-4 p.m., at Human Resources Development, room 1204 A/B on Glenn Avenue.

Stop in with questions, documents and a laptop to get help on meeting the updated digital accessibility requirements. Representatives from the Office of Information Technology, Biggio Center and the Office of Audit, Compliance and Privacy will be on hand to assist in remediating or creating accessible Microsoft documents, PDFs, Canvas courses, webpages, etc.

Registration is not required but appreciated. For more information, visit aub.ie/a11y.
