The College of Human Sciences Women Philanthropy Board (WPB) is excited to kick off the new year with its upcoming 2026 winter program, Building and Sustaining Legacies that will take place Wednesday, Feb. 11 inside The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center.

As part of its commitment to offer yearly educational outreach programs and events, the College of Human Sciences’ Women's Philanthropy Board (WPB) is excited to kick off the new year with its upcoming 2026 winter program, “Building and Sustaining Legacies” that will take place Wednesday, Feb. 11 inside The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.

The 2026 winter program will feature keynote speaker Lady Fiona Carnarvon, Countess of Carnarvon and best-selling author of Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey. Lady Fiona, and her husband, George, Earl of Carnarvon, reside in Hampshire, England at Highclere Castle, better known as TV's Downton Abbey.

"We are thrilled to welcome Lady Fiona Carnarvon to Auburn for this year’s winter program,” said Mindy Street, executive director of the Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies. “Lady Carnarvon’s story offers a powerful lens on stewarding legacy with intention — honoring the past while planning thoughtfully for the future. We are excited to bring together individuals who are passionate about learning, leadership and the lasting impact of purposeful giving.”

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now and will include access to the speakers’ programs and the English afternoon tea.

In addition, the event also includes presentations from estate attorney Leigh Kaylor on “Why You Should Have Inheritance Conversations Now,” and appraiser Laura Wallace will present the topic of “Your Kids Don’t Want Your Stuff.” The program will conclude with an English afternoon tea with Lady Carnarvon.

Premier Sponsors (Duke/Duchess, Marquess/Marchioness, and Earl/Countess) are invited to join Lady Carnarvon at Auburn University's 1856 restaurant for lunch prior to the afternoon's programs beginning at noon. These sponsorships are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

WPB, the flagship division of the Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies, is an educational, outreach program that seeks to educate, enable, and empower individuals about personal financial wellness and philanthropic engagement.
