Auburn University’s Tiger Giving Day, held March 25, saw 35 projects fully funded, thanks to the generosity of more than 4,500 donors. From student experiences to community outreach and innovation, the Auburn Family came together to move important initiatives forward with lasting impact.

For Nancy Alexander, extension specialist for the Give the Gift of 4-H Camp to Alabama Youth project, these gifts will be felt far beyond one day, shaping youth lives for years to come. The Alabama Cooperative Extension project exceeded its $10,000 goal, removing financial barriers for 100 Alabama 4-Hers to experience an impactful opportunity.

“We are deeply grateful to Auburn for the opportunity to share the story of Alabama 4-H through Tiger Giving Day 2026,” Alexander said. “Because of donor support and belief in our mission, we not only surpassed our goal but also opened the door for more young people to experience the confidence, belonging, and life-changing moments found at 4-H Camp.”

Auburn engineering students also will benefit from Tiger Giving Day, with the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering’s Boost Engineering Student Experiences project exceeding its $25,000 goal by 47%. Their project focused on providing students with access to co-op, internship, study abroad, and undergraduate research experiences.

Mary Ferguson, an Honors aerospace engineering major, experienced a summer internship with Airbus in Mobile, Alabama last year. She shared how important it is that these high-impact experiences can continue:

“The internship connected my Auburn classroom learning to real-world aircraft systems and deepened my passion for the aeronautical field. It also strengthened my leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills by requiring me to communicate across teams, adapt in a fast-paced production environment, and contribute to solutions that supported aircraft delivery goals.”

In addition to cause-based projects, donors also supported a new initiative this year — the Tiger Giving Day Power Up Fund. Designed to provide projects with the momentum they need to move forward, especially if they are unable to meet their goal in one day, inaugural donors gave $21,000 to the Power Up Fund. The fund is open year-round for the next cycle of Tiger Giving Day projects in 2027.
