COSAM’s Career Services and Pre-Health Programs celebrated a major milestone on Nov. 5 by hosting Auburn’s largest Graduate & Health Professional School Fair to date. The event brought 48 graduate and health professional programs to campus and attracted 482 student attendees, marking the highest turnout in the fair’s history.

“The career fair was helpful because I was able to learn about health professional programs that I've never heard of but are close in proximity to me,” said Conlan Hall a senior Biomedical Sciences, Pre-Pharmacy student. “I also learned about their requirements about admissions such as required classes, GPA and assessment scores.”

The fair gave Auburn’s pre-health students a one-of-a-kind opportunity to meet directly with admissions representatives from medical, dental, physician assistant, physical therapy, pharmacy, occupational therapy, public health and other health-related programs and gather personalized advice that will help them stand out in the application process. Many left with renewed motivation and a clearer vision of their next academic and professional steps.

Admissions professionals spoke highly of the event and caliber of Auburn pre-health students, with Jerome Hill from Belmont University remarking that “the students who attended the fair were engaging and prepared.”

The record engagement reflects both the strength of Auburn’s Pre-Health Programs and the enthusiasm of COSAM students preparing for careers in healthcare.

“COSAM is committed to helping our students explore every opportunity available to them as they prepare for careers in healthcare,” said Daniel Udochi, one of the event’s organizers. “Our students came ready to learn, network, and take the next step toward their goals.”

With growing interest in health professions and Auburn’s reputation for producing outstanding applicants, COSAM is excited to continue expanding this event in the coming years.
