Jennifer Delmore

With nearly 20 years of experience working in Auburn University’s Office of Gift Planning, Jennifer Delmore is bringing her talents to the College of Education as its new development officer.

“I’m so excited to learn more about the amazing things that are happening in the College of Education and how I can help support the mission of working together to meet society’s education and health challenges, building a better future for all,” she said.

Born and raised in Selma, Alabama, Delmore spent the later part of her childhood in nearby Prattville, where her family still resides. She graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery in 2004 with a degree in Communication Studies and began her Auburn University career as a student worker for the College of Engineering’s Office of Communications and Marketing. She also worked for the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction before starting her dream job in development with the Office of Gift Planning.

Her passion for development work was born during her senior year at AUM, where she helped a professor fundraise for a program after its state funding had been cut.

“Not only were we able to help sustain the program, but our project was named in USA Today’s Top 10 Make a Difference Day projects, and a nice donation was given by the Paul Newman Foundation,” Delmore said. “When I saw the difference we made, I knew this is what I wanted to do—make a difference.”

As development officer, Delmore’s role is to help secure financial support to advance the mission of the College of Education, along with helping alumni of the college find opportunities to become more involved. She will raise awareness for the college’s needs and build and maintain relationships with alumni, donors and other potential supporters.

“It’s about making a difference,” said Delmore. “For me, fundraising isn’t just about raising money—it’s about connecting people to causes that truly matter to them and then seeing those dreams come to fruition.  It’s about relationships and knowing that you are doing something good for others and our community.”

Delmore joins Director of Development Molly McNulty and Development Support Specialist Kelly Buckingham in the College of Education’s Office of Development.

“I'm thrilled to welcome Jennifer Delmore to our development team!” Buckingham said. “Her deep knowledge of the university and strong relationships with donors make her an incredible asset to our team. Her insight and connections position us to expand our reach and deepen our impact in meaningful ways.”

In her free time, Delmore enjoys playing pickleball with a group of co-workers, and her favorite Auburn memory is taking her nephews to meet the Auburn men’s basketball team. They walked away with a pair of autographed shoes from player K.D. Johnson.

For Delmore, people and experiences like that are at the heart of what makes Auburn special, and it’s part of why she feels so strongly about garnering support for students in the College of Education.

“Whether teaching and leading in the classroom, promoting health wellness, or working towards meeting the growing demand for those needing special education services, the College of Education is preparing our students to be the best they can be so they, too, can make a difference in this world,” she said.
