College of Education students are pictured picking up doughnuts during a summer Welcome Week event.

Auburn’s College of Education is kicking off the first week of fall classes with a full slate of daily activities designed to welcome College of Education students into their new home—and faculty and staff are invited to help make it a success.

From Aug. 18–22, College of Education students can stop by the new building—located at the corner of Samford Avenue and Duncan Drive—and visit the first-floor Commons area in front of the Flex Space to enjoy themed events, grab snacks and connect with their peers. The weeklong celebration builds on the energy of June’s two-day Welcome Week, which drew enthusiastic participation and plenty of smiles as students began summer classes in the College of Education’s new home.

“We want our students to feel seen, supported and celebrated from day one,” said Claudia Hendrix, engagement coordinator for the College of Education. “These activities are more than just fun—they’re a way to build community and show our students that we’re here for them.”
