Students interested in a future in education will have the opportunity to connect with school districts from many states on March 4 as part of Auburn’s annual Spring Education Interview Day, being held inside Auburn’s College of Education Building.
The event, offered by Auburn University Career Discovery and Success and the College of Education, will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, on the first floor Commons area of the College of Education’s new home at the corner of Samford Avenue and Duncan Drive.
“Education Interview Day is an exciting opportunity for our students to interview with multiple school districts from Alabama and beyond,” said Angela Shirley, an administrator of academic programs in Auburn’s College of Education. “In the past, we’ve had a few students offered a job on the spot! More importantly, it is a chance to gain interview experience and create a professional network prior to graduation. We currently have 43 employers attending next week, so students should register now and arrange their interview schedules.”
The event allows students of all majors to learn more about a variety of school districts locally, regionally and beyond. Past Education Interview Day events have involved school district representatives from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Louisiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas and Nevada.
Those in attendance will also be given the opportunity to have professional headshots taken. In addition to the many school districts present, Auburn’s College of Education will be on hand to answer any questions about its programs and degrees, and the college’s student ambassadors will be in attendance to provide support for the event.
Interested students are encouraged to register early for the Education Interview Day online.
