Staff Spotlight: Nancy Evans

1. What is your role in the College of Education? 

Administrator III, Academic Programs

2. How long have you worked at Auburn?

Since August 2002

3. What are some new initiatives you are working on now?

We are excited to offer a new Minor in “Special Education for Health and Related Service Professions” in our department, and the instant popularity of this program has been so amazing! Our new College of Education building has helped showcase not only this new program, but our other program areas as well in our recruitment efforts. New building, new program, and new students bring such excitement to our department, which I love to be a part of!

4. What is a part of your job you are especially proud of?

I love the people – the students, faculty, staff, and other employees that make our jobs feel like we are with our extended family while at work!

5. What is a fun fact about yourself?

I love to participate in arts and craft fairs in my spare time! Handmade gift tags, greeting cards, jewelry – you name it! I often have students who recognize me at my craft booth (“Nancy’s Gift Tags”) and say “Hey, you work at Auburn University!” And I always reply with “Yes, are you interested in one of our programs?”
