Auburn’s College of Education is kicking off the spring season with a brand-new, fun-filled event that organizers hope becomes an annual tradition.
Hosted by the college’s Student Ambassadors and Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs, the Tiger Egg Hunt will take place in the College of Education Building from Monday, March 30, through Friday, April 3.
“We’re so excited to bring a brand‑new tradition to the College of Education—one that makes our amazing new building feel even more like home!” Student Services Coordinator David Shamp said. “We can’t wait to see our halls buzzing with energy as students, faculty and staff join the fun.”
Throughout the designated days, students, faculty and staff are invited to search the College of Education building for hidden Tiger Eggs, which will be filled with special College of Education surprises. Prizes include college-branded stress tigers, candy and goodie bag vouchers.
“The Tiger Egg Hunt will be a great way for us to support our classmates and faculty with a fun pick-me-up after everyone returns from Spring Break,” Student Ambassador Taylor Hamiter said.
Shamp said the event is yet another way faculty, staff and students can engage with one another and experience the college’s new building, which opened its first offices one year ago.
“Hidden around the building are Tiger Eggs packed with little joys to brighten your day, and maybe even a special invitation to grab a goodie bag,” Shamp said. “This is our space, our community and our chance to celebrate the spirit that makes the College of Education such a vibrant place to learn and grow.”
Everyone is invited to participate in the Tiger Egg Hunt, whether you’re passing through between classes or working in the building.
“It’s so cool to be part of bringing a new tradition to the College of Education,” Student Ambassador Kaitlyn Stewart said. “It’s encouraging that we have our own building where we get to create a space of our own.”
