1. What is your role in the College of Education?

I serve as a Master Teacher / Clinical Lecturer for the AUTeach Program, which is a partnership between the College of Education and COSAM.

2. How long have you worked at Auburn?

I am in my second year of teaching at Auburn. I’d also like to note that I am a proud alumnus of Auburn (2005, Marine Biology).

3. What are some new initiatives you are working on now?

I am currently working to develop and refine plans for how AUTeach will support our graduates during their first year in the classroom.

4. What is a part of your job you are especially proud of?

It is a great joy to see my students gain a passion for teaching and come to the realization that they can live out their love for science by engaging in teaching as a career option. I am especially proud to see some students graduate this spring who I had the privilege to teach in their first education class.

5. What is a fun fact about yourself?

In addition to my role with the College of Education, I also serve in the United States Air Force Reserves and am assigned to Space Launch Delta 45 at Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Part of my job involves supporting launch operations, which is very exciting!
