The Tony and Libba Rane Culinary Science Center at Auburn University received the Design Project of the Year award presented by FE&S (Foodservice Equipment and Supplies) Magazine. The Rane Culinary Science Center is home to the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality Management in the College of Human Sciences. It opened its doors in 2022, bringing cutting-edge laboratories and a unique blend of academic and commercial offerings, and it continues to be recognized for its level of excellence.
College of Human Sciences Professor and Director of Culinary Science Mark Traynor and Student Recruitment Coordinator Celesta Henry-Simmons represented Auburn University at the FE&S Industry Awards Gala in Chicago along with Phil Landgraf, Executive Principal, Ricca Design Studios who worked with Bailey-Harris Construction, Cooper Carry, architect, and Auburn University Facilities Management in bringing this one-of-a-kind center to completion.
