Professionals, researchers, practitioners, advocates and providers in the areas of hunger, food, nutrition, public health, agriculture, education, health, social services, policy and more are encouraged to attend the Feeding Change–Nourishing Alabama’s Future Summit at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center on Nov. 6-7.

“As the COVID pandemic highlighted, local and regional food systems are integral in serving Alabama’s people, economy and future,” said Alicia Powers, managing director for Hunger Solutions Institute. “Hunger Solutions Institute is thrilled to work with other state agencies and non-governmental organizations to bring together organizations and leaders in the Alabama food system to ensure our local and regional food systems are well positioned to serve and bolster Alabama during the next five years.”

Auburn University’s Hunger Solutions Institute (HSI) will serve as co-host for the statewide summit, which will feature keynote speakers, networking opportunities and breakout sessions related to a myriad of topics.

Keynote speakers will provide insight about the current Alabama food system and empower attendees to work collaboratively to ensure critical elements of Alabama’s food system continue to grow.
