The Office of International Programs invites current Auburn University faculty members interested in developing research and scholarship connections with Auburn’s strategic partners in Thailand and Indonesia to apply for the 2024 Research & Scholarship Connections Travel Grant. Travel will take place June 8-19.

Applications are due by March 8 and open to all Auburn faculty. However, priority will be given to those without international travel experience or connections and those who need to publish or collaborate with international colleagues. To apply, visit aub.ie/2024RSCTG.

What is included?

  • An itinerary arranged by OIP to include meetings with university contacts. Scheduled university visits include Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, University of Indonesia and Bogor Agricultural University.
  • Round-trip economy airfare
  • Hotel accommodations
  • Per diem reimbursement for meals and incidentals
  • Group ground transportation within country
  • Support before and after travel to make appropriate connections with contacts and collaborators

Launched in 2023, the Research & Scholarship Connections Travel Grant leverages Auburn’s strongest international partnerships to foster collaborations across disciplines. Faculty benefit from OIP’s contacts and logistical expertise as well as the security and longevity of relationships formed at the university level. In 2023, the program provided group travel to 18 faculty members to South Korea and Taiwan.
