Tracy Larkin of Penal, Trinidad and Tobago, has been selected as the student marshal for the Graduate School at Auburn University’s fall 2023 commencement ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9.

Larkin will receive a doctorate in Career and Technical Education from Auburn’s College of Education. As a student, she was a member of the Caribbean Student Association and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources & Related Sciences. She also volunteered for the Auburn University Community Garden and worked as a graduate assistant in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching.

Larkin holds a bachelor’s in agribusiness, a master’s in marketing and agribusiness and a post-graduate diploma in international relations, all from the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.

Larkin has enjoyed her time at Auburn, meeting international students from around the world and taking advantage of all campus has to offer.

“With newfound international friendships, I was able to experience new cultures and foods,” she said. “Also, gameday was one of the best experiences I ever had. The crowds of people, tailgating and the game itself are worth experiencing.”
