Three Auburn University students who are part of Eagle Eye TV won national awards at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Awards Ceremony in New York City earlier this month.
Sydney Babb, a journalism major who serves as Eagle Eye TV station manager, won Best TV Station Manager, journalism-sports production major Jack Corbett won Best TV Sports Director and Vince Wolfram, a journalism-sports production major, won Best TV Creative Director.
In addition, School of Communication and Journalism (CMJN) alumnus Billy Ferris, who serves as Auburn’s Student Media advisor, took home the Best Advisor award. Fellow CMJN alum Jared Dillard, who teaches media classes at Auburn High School, was recognized along with his students as the Best High School Television Station in the nation for the fourth year in a row.
Nearly a dozen students were finalists in various categories, an impressive achievement in the competitive landscape of student media.
