Cheering on the Auburn Tigers will always hold a special place in Hailey Tschetter’s heart.
“Whether I’m running into an Auburn alum across the country connecting over the words ‘War Eagle’ or cheering on our teams in Jordan-Hare Stadium or Neville Arena, there’s always that deep sense of connection and pride,” said Tschetter.
Becoming an Auburn cheerleader was a childhood dream come true for the Auburn, Alabama, native.
“I only applied to Auburn out of high school because I knew it was where I was meant to be,” she said.

Hailey Tschetter has cheered for Auburn since 2022, serving as co-head cheerleader her senior year.
Tschetter’s favorite collegiate memory will always be hearing her name called out for cheer squad selection on the steps of Cater Hall. Full of pep, energy and back flips, Tschetter has cheered for Auburn since 2022, serving as co-head cheerleader her senior year.
“It opened so many new doors, lifelong friendships, one-of-a-kind experiences and opportunities,” said Tschetter. “It really helped me grow as both a person and a part of the Auburn community.”
Tschetter will step off the graduation stage and straight into the future of health care, earning her bachelor’s in biomedical science, pre-physician’s assistant, with minors in public health and leadership studies.
She credits the support she received from Auburn’s College of Sciences and Mathematics as the backbone that’s helped shape her journey.
“My professors, pre-health advisors and classmates have not only helped me academically, but they’ve truly empowered me to pursue my dreams and feel confident in the path I’m on,” said Tschetter.
Tschetter says her time at Auburn has built a firm foundation for her future career.
“Auburn has given me the perfect space to challenge myself, grow and be surrounded by people who empower me to be the best version of myself,” she said.
Head over “heals,” Tschetter has made the most of her four years as a student on the Plains.
In addition to her cheerleading role, she also is a member of Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa, Delta Gamma Fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Delta, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and The Golden Key International Honor Society.

Tschetter also served on the staff of Miss Homecoming and Miss Auburn Top 10 and even found time to study medicine abroad last year in Milan, Italy.
She says she’ll take everything she’s learned at Auburn to provide quality health care to her future patients.
“The lessons I’ve picked up here have inspired me to believe in my potential and encouraged me to seek out a career where I can help others and make a positive difference in people’s lives,” she said.
Unquestionably, Tschetter will enter the health care field armed with valuable hands-on training. She already has experience working as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit technician at East Alabama Health and has also served as a research assistant for Auburn’s Sports Biomechanics program. She’s also volunteered countless hours at Mercy Medical Ministry & Clinic and Storybook Farms.
Tschetter says at the end of the day, it all revolves around being part of the Auburn Family, building meaningful connections and supporting those around her with unity and purpose.
“That collective spirit and shared determination inspires me every day,” she said.
For someone who’s used to cheering for others, it’ll be Tschetter’s family and friends who will be cheering her on during spring commencement ceremonies.
“The sense of community, the traditions and the support you get here are like no other,” said Tschetter. “It’s more than just a school – it’s a place where you can truly find your way and thrive.”
