Pharmacy ranks No. 29 among best colleges of pharmacy by U.S. News & World Report

The Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy now ranks among the top 30 colleges of pharmacy in the nation according to the U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of 2024 Best Graduate Schools.
Rankings are based on a survey of pharmacy programs accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. The Harrison College of Pharmacy came in at No. 29 overall, moving up two places from the previous rankings and into the top 20% in the country.
“This ranking is a reflection of the amazing work and dedication of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni as they build and promote a culture of excellence and innovation at Auburn,” said Dean Leigh Ann Ross. “We are focused on preparing practice-ready pharmacists and cultivating the next generation of leaders in the pharmacy profession.”
Along with the top-30 national ranking, the Harrison College of Pharmacy came in as the top-ranked college of pharmacy in the state of Alabama and the No. 6-ranked college in the southeast, including the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
The Harrison College of Pharmacy has a state-wide presence in Alabama. Along with the main campus in Auburn, the college also has a satellite campus in Mobile as part of a collaboration with the University of South Alabama. Additionally, the college has full-time faculty who practice at clinical sites throughout the state where they provide clinical training for HCOP students. These faculty are based in Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery and Tuscaloosa, along with Columbus, Georgia and Meridian, Mississippi.
“We believe we have one of the best curricula and student experiences in the country, along with innovative research and outreach programs,” said Ross. “We are proud to be ranked among the nation’s best and with each step forward, we catch glimpses of the greatness that awaits us in the future.”
