Kevin Snyder is a best-selling author, professional speaker and multi-TEDx presenter.
Auburn faculty, staff and administrative professionals will soon have the opportunity to learn from two award-winning authors, speakers and leaders in higher education.
The Elevated Education Exchange (EEE) will feature keynotes from Kevin Snyder, best-selling author, professional speaker and multi-TEDx presenter, and Jennifer Bloom, founder of Appreciative Education, tenured faculty and past president of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising.
The Office of Academic Insight, Academic Support, Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning, Career Discovery and Success and University Writing will welcome the keynote speakers at the EEE on Feb. 1, which will provide opportunities for cross-campus networking, collaboration and professional development.
“We are excited to host an event that spotlights innovative initiatives and research from peers across campus,” said Stuart Miller, assistant director of Academic Data Acquisitions & Reporting and chair of the Elevated Education Exchange Planning Committee. “This second iteration of the EEE continues to expand the reach of the event to be inclusive of all members of our campus community, and Drs. Snyder and Bloom will contribute considerable value to the event.”
The EEE aligns with Auburn’s new Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), “AUBURNACHIEVE,” which emphasizes student career outcomes. Snyder and Bloom are uniquely equipped to discuss how higher education professionals can positively impact student academic and post-graduation success.
Jennifer Bloom is founder of Appreciative Education, tenured faculty and past president of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising.
In addition to the keynotes, the EEE will feature several targeted sessions and a “passive” poster presentation for attendees to browse during the event. Posters will highlight stories and evidence of student success across campus, and proposals can be submitted at aub.ie/EEEposter by Dec. 15. Selected contributors do not need to be present at their posters throughout the day.
To register for this free event, visit aub.ie/EEE by Jan. 24. Spaces are filling up quickly, so reserve your seat soon. Any questions about the event can be directed to assess@auburn.edu.
