Ask any Auburn student, and they’ll agree; college is hard. As they balance academic coursework with campus involvement, career preparation and mental health needs, many rely on the guidance and support of the university’s academic and professional advising community. Beyond assisting students with course schedules, Auburn’s advisors are partners in their success, helping them navigate the complexities of higher education and providing the resources necessary to achieve their goals.
Which is why, each year, the university honors exceptional advisors with the Provost’s Advising Awards. Held on March 28, this year’s ceremony recognizes the service and accomplishments of several Auburn’s advising community members who have significantly impacted Auburn’s students through various academic, administrative and student support programs.
Nominated by colleagues and selected by a committee of peers from Auburn’s advising community, this year’s honors include representatives from both central units and the colleges, all of whom have served as exceptional resources and mentors to Auburn’s students.
“Our annual ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to honor members of our advising community who continuously go the extra mile to ensure that our students have the guidance and tools to achieve their goals,” said Auburn Provost Vini Nathan. “Those recognized are a true testament to the university’s commitment to providing an exceptional student experience.”
