The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the promotion and/or tenure of 115 Auburn faculty members, reflecting the institution’s high standards of professional achievement in instruction, research, creative scholarship and service. The new appointments will begin on Aug. 1, coinciding with the beginning of the 2025-26 academic year.

“I congratulate our colleagues and celebrate their achievements and commitment to Auburn’s mission,” said Provost Vini Nathan. “As award-winning educators, subject matter experts and scholars, I am confident that they will continue to develop future thought leaders, advance impactful research and scholarship and elevate the power of an Auburn education.”

Promotion and tenure represent both a professional milestone for faculty members and a significant achievement for their departments and colleges. Auburn’s promotion and tenure process requires substantial effort from each faculty member, along with support from colleagues and administrative staff throughout every stage of the cycle. Applications for promotion and tenure are reviewed at the department and college levels, followed by the university’s Promotion and Tenure Committee, which provides recommendations to the President.

This year’s newly promoted and tenured faculty will be formally recognized during the university’s Promotion and Tenure Reception on Sept. 18, from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Academic Classroom and Laboratory Complex. All members of the campus community are invited to attend.
