Auburn University has announced the recipients of its 2025 Faculty Awards, honoring exceptional achievements in teaching, research, leadership and service. These awards recognize faculty whose work exemplifies Auburn’s land-grant mission to inspire, engage, and transform lives through education, discovery and outreach.

This year, 15 distinguished faculty members representing seven colleges will be recognized for their exemplary contributions to student learning, scholarly innovation and community impact. Their work spans disciplines from engineering and pharmacy to journalism, hospitality and human sciences—reflecting Auburn’s commitment to academic excellence and public service.

“The transformative experiences offered at Auburn begin in the classroom—with our faculty who inspire students to think critically and lead boldly,” said Provost Vini Nathan. “This year’s recipients embody these ideals and demonstrate the powerful role of educators, innovators, and mentors in fulfilling Auburn’s mission.”

Presented annually, the Faculty Awards highlight individuals whose efforts advance Auburn’s academic distinction and uphold the highest standards of professional achievement. Honorees are recognized across multiple categories, including teaching, research and creative scholarship, leadership, outreach and service to the profession and community.

The 2025 recipients showcase the breadth and depth of Auburn’s faculty excellence. Their achievements include groundbreaking research in attosecond physics, cybersecurity and paleoclimatology; transformative teaching in public relations, food science and kinesiology; and outreach initiatives that strengthen communities across Alabama and beyond.

From mentoring undergraduate researchers and leading national conversations on journalist safety to developing new materials for printed electronics and advancing relationship education worldwide, these faculty members are shaping their fields and enriching the Auburn experience.

The recipients will be formally recognized at the annual Faculty Awards ceremony in November, which brings together faculty, students and university leadership to celebrate Auburn’s academic distinction.
